Expert tuition in English and Maths
I offer expert tuition in English Language, English Literature and Foundation Maths. I studied at Balliol College, Oxford.
Over the years I've done plenty of teaching: private tutoring, workshops and preparation for exams and university entrance. I love instilling confidence in my students and giving them the opportunity to excel.
English Language and Literature
As an award-winning children's novelist, words are my bag! I help students of all ages with every aspect of their written work: clear expression of language; comprehension; text analysis and comparison; creative writing; poetry criticism and coursework.

Maths
I also specialise in teaching Maths up to and including Foundation Level GCSE. I particularly love helping students who really struggle with understanding and applying mathematical principles, however basic. My students frequently tell me that when the light dawns, they even start enjoying the subject! Yes, it really is possible!

Whichever subject you need help in, I offer a free 15 minute consultation, during which we will discuss your needs. There is no "one-size-fits-all" with tutoring, so we will make a plan together.
